Abstract:
A process for producing a mixed gas hydrate comprising a structure-I gas hydrate and
a structure-II gas hydrate coexistent therewith by reacting a gas mixture comprising
a gas which forms a structure-I hydrate, e.g., methane, and a gas which forms a
structure-II hydrate, e.g., propane, with water, characterized by (a) introducing
a structure-I gas hydrate into a second generator (4), (b) subsequently introducing
the gas mixture into the second generator (4) and reacting the gas which forms
a structure-II hydrate and is contained in the gas mixture with the water accompanying
the structure-I gas hydrate to yield a structure-II gas hydrate, (c) introducing
the gas which forms a structure-I hydrate and remains in the second generator
(4) into a first generator (1) and reacting the gas which forms a structure-I hydrate
with water to yield a structure-I gas hydrate, and (d) supplying the structure-I gas
hydrate to the second generator (4).
