Title:
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING OLEFIN OLIGOMER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1994/015940
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A process for producing a reduced chromium complex by reducing at least one compound selected from among chromium (III) and chromium (IV) compounds each having an oxygen anion as the ligand with a reducing agent in the presence of an electron donor into a chromium (II) compound; a process for producing a reduced chromium complex catalyst by mixing an electron donor, at least one compound selected from among chromium (III) to chromium (VI) compounds each having an oxygen anion as the ligand, a reducing agent, and an aluminumoxy compound; and a process for producing an olefin oligomer by the reaction of an olefin in the presence of the obtained reduced chromium complex catalyst. This process enables hexene-1 and octene-1 useful as comonomers of linear low-density polyethylene (L-LDPE) to be produced selectively and efficiently.
