Abstract:
Provided is a process for producing a separation membrane, said process being capable of effectively preventing the trouble that a separation membrane thickens partially and thus forms undesirably thick parts. A process for producing a separation membrane which includes: a film formation step of passing a precursor solution (31) for a separation membrane through cells (2) of a monolith substrate (1) to form a separation membrane precursor (3) from the precursor solution (31) on the surfaces of the cells (2); and a subsequent cell-suction step of applying suction to the insides of the cells (2) via the openings of the cells (2) on the first end face (11) of the monolith substrate (1), and thereby conducting the suction removal of an excess portion of the precursor solution (31) present in the cells (2).
