Abstract:
A process by which a surface-roughened sheet having a finely roughened surface structure and useful as an antiglare sheet can be easily produced without using fine inorganic or organic particles. The process for surface-roughened sheet production is characterized by comprising: a first step in which an organic resin material is mixed with a material incompatible with the organic resin material to prepare a coating fluid; a second step in which the coating fluid is applied to form a coating film having a phase separation structure in which the phase of the organic resin material has been separated from the phase of the incompatible material; and a third step in which the coating film is subjected to a curing treatment to cure the organic resin material and thereby fix the phase separation structure and then the incompatible material is removed from the cured coating film to form a cured resin layer having a surface-roughened structure.
