Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for production of a perfluoroalkine compound, which comprises: an addition reaction step for adding Cl2, Br2 or I2 to a compound of the formula (1): CH3C≡CR1 to produce a compound of the formula (2): CH3CX2CX2R1; a fluorination step for reacting the compound of the formula (2) with fluorine gas to produce a compound of the formula (3): CF3CX2CX2R2; and a dehalogenation step for contacting the compound of the formula (3) with a metal or an organic metal compound to produce a perfluoroalkine compound of the formula (4): CF3C≡CR2. The process enables to produce a perfluoroalkine compound with high productivity and in a high yield using an environmentally friendly and industrially readily available material as a starting material. (In the formulae above, R1 represents a methyl or ethyl group; X represents Cl, Br or I; R2 represents a trifluoromethyl or pentafluoroethyl group.
