Abstract:
Disclosed are a processing method and apparatus based on a link error code. A network device can report, to a controller, an error code rate of an egress port, for sending data traffic, on the network device, so that the controller can collect error code rates of all egress ports on one transmission path sending data traffic and can accumulate the error code rates, thereby obtaining a cumulative error code rate of the transmission path. In this way, the controller can determine, according to the cumulative error code rate of the transmission path, whether to switch a service flow on the transmission path to any other transmission path. Therefore, the controller can switch a service flow transmitted on a transmission path with an excessive cumulative error code rate to any other transmission path with a relatively low cumulative error code rate for transmission, thereby avoiding the use of a multi-hop path with a severe cumulative error code rate to forward a service flow, and improving the stability of service flow transmission.
