Abstract:
The present invention relates to a product-packing automation system and method. The product-packing automation system according to the present invention comprises: an order receiving unit for receiving information about products for which an order has been placed; a box information storing unit for storing information about boxes; a box recommending unit for recommending, on the basis of the product information from the order receiving unit, a box to pack the products therein, among boxes about which information is stored in the box information storing unit; and a packing plan formulating unit for formulating a plan to load the products into the box recommended by the box recommending unit, wherein the box recommending unit comprises a box division determining unit for determining whether the quantity of boxes for packing the products is one or more, and a box quantity calculating unit for calculating the quantity of boxes to pack the products if the quantity of boxes calculated by the box division determining unit is more than one. Accordingly, the packing process can be automated for products having various shapes, ordered in various quantities.
