Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method for a β-1,3-glucan derivative suitable for reducing environmental load. The production method for a β-1,3-glucan derivative according to the present invention comprises performing an esterification reaction on β-1,3-glucan at a temperature of 40-120°C in the presence of an acid catalyst. In the production method for a β-1,3-glucan derivative, the esterification reaction is performed by, for example, bringing the β-1,3-glucan into contact with the acid anhydride.
