Abstract:
A production method for an active ingredient of a biological medicine, the method involving: linking, to a linkage line, a culture unit that performs a culture step for culturing cells in a liquid culture medium retained in a culture tank and removing the cells from the liquid culture medium by using a cell removal filter to obtain a culture supernatant containing a product of the cells, and a purification unit that performs a purification step for purifying the product from the culture supernatant to obtain an active ingredient of a biological medicine, and that includes a purification step using a single pass tangential flow filtration type purification filter; providing, to the linkage line, a sterilized filter having a pore size greater than that of the cell removal filter; and filtering, by using the sterilized filter, the culture supernatant flowing into the purification unit from the culture unit through the linkage line.
