Abstract:
Provided is a production method for an anion exchange resin that can be used to produce an electrolyte film having excellent mechanical characteristics (strength). The present invention pertains to producing an anion exchange resin in which a hydrophobic group is directly bonded to a hydrophilic group, by reacting a monomer for forming the hydrophobic group with a monomer for forming the hydrophilic group in the presence of bis(1,5-cyclooctadiene)nickel(0) as a polymerization-accelerating agent and 2,2'-bipyridine as a coligand. When doing so, the number of moles of bis(1,5-cyclooctadiene)nickel(0) is set to be 1.2-1.8 times as great as the total number of moles of the monomer for forming the hydrophobic group and the monomer for forming the hydrophilic group, and the number of moles of 2,2'-bipyridine is set to be 1.5-2.5 times as great as the number of moles of bis(1,5-cyclooctadiene)nickel(0).
