Abstract:
A program development assistance unit of the present invention is provided with a calculation unit and a storage unit. In the storage unit, a ladder diagram editing program is stored and an edited ladder diagram program is stored. The calculation unit edits the ladder diagram program by executing the ladder diagram editing program and stores the ladder diagram program in the storage unit. The calculation unit assigns two-dimensional coordinates to a ladder diagram expressed by the ladder diagram program. The calculation unit detects the type and the two-dimensional coordinates of a circuit element included in the ladder diagram, and detects the two-dimensional coordinates of a longitudinal connection line included in the ladder diagram. The calculation unit stores the circuit element and the longitudinal connection line in the storage unit such that the circuit element and the longitudinal connection line are associated with the corresponding two-dimensional coordinates.
