Abstract:
A refrigerator control app (213) allows a terminal control unit (20) of a terminal device (2) communicable with a refrigerator (1) through a global network (GN) to function as: a sensing unit (202) for sensing whether a user of the refrigerator (1) has left a house of the user in which the refrigerator (1) is installed; and an operation control unit (203) which, if the sensing unit (202) senses that the user has left, inquires of the user whether to cause the refrigerator (1) to start a power-saving operation, and which, upon receiving from the user an instruction to cause the refrigerator (1) to start the power-saving operation, causes the refrigerator (1) to start the power-saving operation.
