Abstract:
The present invention provides a prosody generator which generates prosody information for achieving highly natural speech synthesis without unnecessarily collecting a large volume of learning data.
A data dividing means (81) divides the data space for a learning database that is an assembly of learning data representing the feature amount for a speech wave. A density information extracting means (82) extracts density information representing the density state for the information quantity of the learning data in each subspace into which the data space was divided by the data dividing means (81). On the basis of the density information, a prosody information generation method selecting means (83) selects as a prosody information generation method, either a first method of generating prosody information according to a statistical approach or a second method of generating prosody information according to a rule based on an experimental rule.
