Abstract:
If a first condition or a second condition is satisfied, then a threshold value setting signal output unit (323) outputs a low threshold value setting signal for setting a collision determination threshold value to a low threshold value corresponding to a specific object. The first condition is that the determination result from a type determination unit (321) is a specific object and that a pre-crash signal acquisition unit (311) has acquired a pre-crash signal. The second condition is that at least two of the following subconditions are satisfied: a first subcondition, that the environment is an impeding environment that impedes object recognition; a second subcondition, that the determination has been made that an object that has collided or may collide with the vehicle is a specific object; and a third subcondition, that the determination has been made that an object has collided or may collide with the vehicle. A threshold value setting unit (324) sets the collision determination threshold value to a low threshold value in the case that the threshold value setting signal output unit outputs a low threshold value setting signal.
