Abstract:

Provided is a pull-up disposable diaper (1) having a vertical direction and a horizontal direction, which are perpendicular to each other, and also having a belly-side section (30), a back-side section (40), a crotch section (20), a waist opening BH, and a pair of leg openings (LH, LH). The edge (31BH) of the waist opening (BH), which faces the belly-side section (30), has a recess (37) recessed further in the vertical direction toward the crotch section (20) than the edge (41BH) of the waist opening (BH), which faces the back-side section (40). A tape member (48) for affixing the diaper (1) in a vertically compact state when discarding the diaper (1) is affixed to the non-skin-contact surface of the back-side section (40) so that the tape member (48) can be extended toward the waist opening (BH) in the vertical direction. The recess (37) is provided at a position corresponding to the tape member (48) in the horizontal direction.
