Abstract:
A centrifugal pump (10) is provided with: a pump body (20) that provides partition between a rotor chamber (29) and a pump chamber (44); a motor case (22) that forms the rotor chamber (29) together with the pump body (20); a pump cover (18) that forms the pump chamber (44) together with the pump body (20); and an upper-side bearing (40) that rotatably supports a rotor shaft (36) of a rotor (32) with respect to the pump body (20). The pump body (20) has a boss part (62) that projects from a partition wall body part (60) to the rotor chamber (29) side and supports the upper-side bearing (40). At a lateral section of the boss part (62), a projection part (64) having an inclined surface section (65) inclined radially inward toward the leading end side of the boss part (62) is projected. The boss part (62) has formed therein a connection hole (67) which connects the rotor chamber (29) and the pump chamber (44) and in which an opening end portion on the rotor chamber (29) side is open to the inclined surface part (65).
