This QD (21) is a Cd-free quantum dot that issues a blue light and includes a core (22) and a shell (23). The core includes at least Zn and Se. The shell has a membrane thickness of 0.5–3 nm. A boundary section (24) of the shell, adjacent to the core, includes Zn, Se, and S, and an outermost section (25) includes Zn and S.
