Abstract:
A quantum dot (25) includes: a core (25a) containing Zn and Se; and a shell (25b) comprising ZnS and disposed on the surface of the core (25a) so as to be adjacent to the core (25a). The quantum dot emits blue light and is Cd free. The particle size of the quantum dot is within a range of 3 to 20nm, and the lifetime of fluorescence in a thin film state is no greater than 50ns.
