Abstract:
A radar device extracts one frequency pair from among all frequency pairs and derives the intrinsic value ratio of the extracted pair. The number of incoming waves is estimated in accordance with the number of intrinsic value ratios that are equal to or greater than a reference threshold value among the intrinsic value ratios, and the proportion of frequency pairs (hereinafter referred to as multiple detection proportion) estimated to have multiple incoming waves among all frequency pairs is calculated as an evaluation value. The aforementioned steps are repeated for each radar transmission and reception. As a result, it is determined that noise contributing substances are attached to a covered part when a state in which the multiple detection proportion is equal to or greater than a predetermined proportion is detected over a predetermined number of cycles.
