Abstract:
A radar device detects a target that reflects a radar wave on the basis of the result of transmitting a radar wave and receiving an incoming wave, and generates information pertaining to the target. The radar carries out a wide object detection process in which one frequency pair among all frequency pairs is extracted, and the intrinsic value ratio of each extracted pair is derived. An evaluation value representing the number of incoming waves with regard to the extracted pairs is derived on the basis of each intrinsic value ratio. It is determined that an extracted pair is a wide object when a state in which the evaluation value is greater than a threshold value indicating that the number (L) of incoming waves is one is detected for a predetermined number of transmission/reception cycles.
