Abstract:
A radiation image detector whose mode can be switchable between an imaging mode to detect radiation and an imaging waiting mode in which the power consumption is less than that in the imaging mode. The radiation image detector comprises a switching section for giving an instruction to switch between the imaging mode and the imaging waiting mode, a chargeable or replaceable battery provided as a power supply source, a battery remaining power detecting section for detecting the remaining power of the battery, and a control section for controlling the power consumption of the battery to switch the imaging mode and the imaging waiting mode according to the instruction from the switching section and controlling the battery remaining power detecting section. The control section controls the battery remaining power detecting section so that when an imaging instruction of the switching section to switch the imaging waiting mode to the imaging mode is inputted, the remaining power of the battery can be detected.
