Abstract:
Provided is a radio communication method for a radio communication system including an accommodation station device and a base station device that performs beam forming under the control of the accommodation station device. In the radio communication method, the accommodation station device controls the beam forming of the base station device by transmitting a modulated optical signal, which is generated by performing intensity modulation on an optical signal on the basis of a transmission signal to be transmitted, by controlling combinations of two of optical wavelengths, frequencies, and optical polarizations or by controlling frequencies, to the base station device via an optical transmission line; and the base station device inputs an electric signal based on the modulated optical signal to a beam forming circuit including input ports the number of which corresponds to the number of combinations of two of optical wavelengths, frequencies, and optical polarizations or the number of frequencies and thereby performs beam forming in directions corresponding to the input ports to which the electric signal is input.
