Abstract:
Provided is a radiographic image detection device in which the load-bearing characteristics of a photoelectric conversion panel are improved. The photoelectric conversion panel, a reinforcing substrate, and a scintillator are accommodated within a housing having a monocoque structure. An insulating substrate that is made of glass and that has a thickness of 0.5 mm or less is used for the photoelectric conversion panel, and a plurality of pixels that perform photoelectric conversion are arranged thereon. The reinforcing substrate is attached to the X-ray entry side of the photoelectric conversion panel via a first adhesive layer. The X-ray entry side of the reinforcing substrate is attached to the housing via the first adhesive layer. The scintillator is deposited on a surface that is on the opposite side from the X-ray entry side of the photoelectric conversion panel. The scintillator comprises a plurality of columnar crystals and a non-columnar crystal layer. The non-columnar crystal layer adheres to the surface of the photoelectric conversion panel.
