Title:
RADIONUCLIDE PRODUCTION METHOD AND RADIONUCLIDE PRODUCTION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/261650
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a radionuclide production method and radionuclide production system which make it possible to separate, using a simple operation, a target radionuclide generated by irradiation with radioactive rays, and to reduce the generation of radioactive waste which accompanies said separation. This radionuclide production method includes a step for producing a radionuclide by irradiating a target material (10) in which the starting material nuclide is present with radioactive rays, and a step for eluting the radionuclide into a liquid (30) by contacting the target material (10) and the liquid (30) with one another. The target material (10) is a porous body or a granular material through which it is possible for the liquid (30) to pass. This radionuclide production system (100) is equipped with a target material (10) in which a starting material nuclide is present, an irradiation unit (1) for generating a radionuclide by irradiating the target material (10) with radioactive rays, and an elution unit (2) for eluting the radionuclide into the liquid (30) by contacting the target material (10) and the liquid (30) with one another. The target material (10) is a porous body or a granular material through which it is possible for the liquid (30) to pass.
