Abstract:
Provided are a rain gutter system and a siphon-inducing member by which drainage capacity can be improved while reducing effects on an external appearance. The rain gutter system (1) is for constructing a rainwater flow path (1a), said system comprising a downspout (3), a connection section (9) for connecting a drop opening (2d) of an eaves gutter (2) to an upstream end part (3a) of the downspout (3), and a siphon-inducing member (5). The eaves gutter (2) has a flow path cross-sectional area of 11,000 mm2 or larger. The downspout (3) has an inner diameter of 67.0 mm or larger. The downspout (3) has a thickness of 2.2 mm or larger. The siphon-inducing member (5) is tubular and has a diameter-reduced part (52) having a smaller flow path cross-sectional area than the flow path cross-sectional area of the connection section (9). The siphon-inducing member (5) is placed directly below the connection section (9) in the flow path (1a).
