Abstract:
An engine starting control method for a range extended electric vehicle, and a system for running the method. The control method comprises: when a range extender is in a stopped working condition, an APU acquiring the states of an engine emergency stop command, an engine stop command and an engine starting command; the APU determining whether the engine emergency stop command is not enabled, whether the engine stop command is not enabled, and whether the engine starting command is received; if the engine emergency stop command is not enabled, the engine stop command is not enabled and the engine starting command is received, the APU further determining whether the number of times of starting failure is less than an allowed threshold value of the number of times of starting failure; and if the APU determines that the number of times of starting failure is less than the allowed threshold value of the number of times of starting failure, switching the range extender to a start working condition. According to the engine starting control method, when engine starting control is performed, whether a stop demand or starting failure exists is detected, a timely response to a vehicle control unit is guaranteed, and the safety of parts that may fail is guaranteed.
