Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a ranging device, a ranging method, and a program which enable high-accuracy LiDAR to be achieved at a low cost. In the present invention: the emission and quenching of a plurality of light sources are controlled for each light source using a unique pattern, such control performed in a plurality of divided times resulting from dividing a modulation period for chirp modulating the frequency of the transmission light of a plurality of channels; the interference light between reception light and transmission light is detected and digitized; the same is made a reception signal sequence and a fast Fourier Transform is applied thereto to determine the frequency spectrum; the beat frequency is identified from a peak magnitude comparison; and as a result of the foregoing, the distance to and the relative speed of an object of measurement are measured. This disclosure can be applied to LiDAR.
