Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a rare-earth bond magnet comprises: a step of preparing rare-earth rapid-quenching alloy magnetic powder; a step of preparing a solution of a resin that is solid at room temperature dissolved using an organic solvent; a step of fabricating a rare-earth bond magnet compound by kneading the rare-earth rapid-quenching alloy magnetic powder and the solution and causing the organic solvent to be activated, whereby magnetic powder particles constituting the rare-earth rapid-quenching alloy magnetic powder are coated with the resin; a step for compressing the rare-earth bond magnet compound at a pressure of no less than 1000 MPa and no more than 2500 MPa to fabricate a compact; and a step for heat treating the compact. The solution contains a resin of no less than 0.4% by mass to no more than 1.0% by mass and an organic solvent of no less than 1.2% by mass and not more than 20% by mass, taking the kneaded rare-earth rapid-quenching alloy magnetic powder to be 100% by mass.
