Abstract:

Reactive particles represented by the general formula (I): [C - (B1)�m?]�n? - A - [(B2)�p? - D]�q?, and having many active sites can be produced by treating substrate particles (A) with a silane coupling agent or the like (B) at need and reacting the reactive groups of the particles (A) with a bisoxyzoline compound or the like (C) to introduce free functional groups to the particles. Hydrophilic or hydrophobic groups may be introduced into the particles (A). In the formula (I), A is a substrate particle; C is an organic group having at least one free functional group; D is a hydrophilic or hydrophobic organic group; B1 is an organic group connecting the substrate particle A and the organic group C; B2 is an organic group connecting the substrate particle A and the hydrophilic or hydrophobic organic group D; n is an integer of 1 or above; m and p are 0 or 1; and q is an integer of 0 or above, with ms and ps being respectively the same or different from each other.
