Title:
RECEPTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/156058
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a BICM-ID technology that suppresses deterioration in decoding characteristics and in which the amount of arithmetic operation is small. A reception device includes: a demodulator that outputs first external information using an encoded and interleave-processed reception signal and prior information; a deinterleaver that subjects the first external information to a deinterleave process to output second external information; a decoder that outputs third external information using the second external information; and an interleaver that outputs fourth external information by subjecting the third external information to an interleave process, wherein an iterative decoding process is performed by using the fourth external information as the prior information for the demodulator. The demodulator includes a generation unit that generates a plurality of reception signal point candidates, a narrowing unit that narrows the candidates, on the basis of the size of the prior information and the distance between the plurality of reception signal point candidates and the reception signal, down to the reception signal point candidate to be used for creating the first external information, and a likelihood operation unit that creates the first external information on the basis of the narrowed reception signal point candidate, the prior information, and the reception signal.
