Abstract:
A rechargeable battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly for charging and discharging; a case for housing the electrode assembly and an electrolyte; a cap plate coupled to an opening of the case; an electrode terminal installed on the cap plate; a current collector connected to an non-coating portion of the electrode assembly by an electrode connection part and to the electrode terminal by a terminal connection part; and an inner case which accommodates a part of the electrode assembly on a side opposing the cap plate and is housed in the case while being coupled to the electrode connection part.
