Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reciprocating compressor and, more specifically, to a reciprocating compressor which enables the perpendicularity between a piston and a crankshaft to be maintained and can prevent performance degradation due to the deformation of a cylinder. A reciprocating compressor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a crankshaft coupled to a rotor of an electric motor unit and transmitting the rotational force; a piston moving linearly inside a cylinder of a compression unit and compressing a refrigerant; a connecting rod connected between the crankshaft and the piston and converting the rotational force of the crankshaft into the linear motion of the piston; and a cylinder-boss integrated body in which the cylinder and a boss, which covers the crankshaft, are perpendicular to each other and are integrally formed.
