Abstract:
Provided is a recording device characterized by comprising: a recording means for ejecting a plurality of different pigment inks on a transfer body and forming an ink image; a processing means for performing a process so that each of the plurality of pigment inks applied to the transfer body forms a layer; and a transfer means for transferring the ink image from the transfer body onto a recording medium that is transported by a transporting means. The plurality of pigment inks include: four basic color pigment inks of the four basic colors of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black; and at least one pigment ink having a color other than the basic colors. A first ink, which is at least one ink among the basic color pigment inks, is applied to the transfer body later than a second ink among the inks having a color other than the basic colors, the second ink having a lower colorant concentration than the first ink.
