Abstract:
A reduction retort (11) used in a vacuum metal refining reduction furnace comprises a
retort (12), a condenser (13) arranged on one end of the retort, a charge end shield (14)
hermetically connected to the condenser, and a discharge end closure (15) arranged
on the other end of the retort, in which, the reduction retort is obliquely disposed
within the furnace with the end having the condenser upwardly, and the other end
having the discharge closure downwardly. The reduction retort facilitates discharge
of spent residue with economy of time, and permits increased charging amount,
metal production capacity and heat availability inside the furnace.
