An embodiment of the present invention provides a reference frame decoding method, characterized by comprising: acquiring a first reference frame, the first reference frame being a decoded reconstructed first image frame or a first inserted-value image frame obtained by inserting a pixel value into the first image frame; parsing a mapping parameter in a code stream; on the basis of the mapping parameter, determining a coefficient to be set of a preset mapping function; acquiring, on the basis of a mapping function after determining the coefficient to be set, and in the first reference frame, a first pixel unit having a mapping relationship with a second pixel unit of a second reference frame; and providing the pixel value of the first pixel unit to the second pixel unit. The present invention only transfers a small amount of mapping parameters at frame level, increasing the selection of reference frames, such that a reference frame can better approach an actual frame, resulting in more accurate predictions using a reference frame, thereby improving coding efficiency.
