In the present invention, a temperature drop is suppressed in a usage-side heat exchanger during a defrost operation. The present invention comprises: a primary-side refrigerant circuit (5a) in which a primary-side refrigerant circulates, the primary-side refrigerant circuit (5a) having a primary-side compressor (71), a gasket heat exchanger (35), a primary-side heat exchanger (74), and a primary-side switching mechanism (72); and a secondary-side refrigerant circuit (10) in which a secondary-side refrigerant circulates, the secondary-side refrigerant circuit (10) having a secondary-side compressor (21), a gasket heat exchanger (35), usage-side heat exchangers (52a, 52b, 52c), and a secondary-side switching mechanism (22). The secondary-side refrigerant circuit (10) further has: a bypass flow path (46) that connects between the usage-side heat exchangers (52a, 52b, 52c) and the gasket heat exchanger (35), and the inflow flow path (23) of the secondary-side compressor (21); and a bypass expansion valve (46a) provided in the bypass flow path (46). A defrost operation is performed for circulating the second refrigerant to the secondary-side compressor (21), the gasket heat exchanger (35), and the bypass flow path (46), in the stated order, while circulating the primary-side refrigerant to the primary-side compressor (71), the primary-side heat exchanger (74), and the gasket heat exchanger (35), in the stated order.
