Abstract:

The present invention relates to a refrigerator which includes a shelf assembly comprising: a shelf which is provided inside a cabinet constituting a storage space of the refrigerator, and on which food and containers are seated; shelf-fixing brackets, fixedly provided at opposite sides of the shelf and supporting the shelf; a lifting-or-lowering rail module provided to be elongated in a vertical direction inside the cabinet and to allow the shelf-fixing brackets to be movable in the vertical direction; and a lifting-or-lowering module, slidably provided at one side of the shelf and selectively releasing fixing of the shelf-fixing brackets fixedly provided on the lifting-or-lowering rail module according to user's manipulation. According to the present invention, a handle portion for adjusting the height of the shelf is provided at a front side of the shelf, and thus, due to the providing of the handle for adjusting the height of the shelf at a position close to a user, convenience in use and ease of manipulation are improved.
