Abstract:
A refrigerator (1) communicable with a weather server (2) comprises a refrigerator control unit (16). The refrigerator control unit (16) receives, from the weather server (2), air temperature data indicating the air temperature of a zone including an installation site of the refrigerator (1), determines whether the current season is winter on the basis of the air temperature indicated by the received air temperature data, and if determining that the current season is winter, shifts an operation mode of the refrigerator (1) from a normal operation mode to a winter operation mode in which an inside temperature is higher than in the normal operation mode.
