A registration machine and a visitor registration method. The registration machine is internally provided with a control host, and the control host is electrically connected to a visitee terminal, is used for sending an access request to the access terminal, and is also used for detecting, in real time, whether a request approval notification sent by the access terminal is received, and if so, sending a passing signal to an entrance guard system, the access request comprising a face image and visitor information; and the registration machine further comprises a camera (121) for acquiring a face image of a visitor and a touch screen (122) for acquiring visitor registration information inputted by the visitor, the visitor registration information comprising a visitor name and visitor information. In registration machine and visitor registration method, providing a steering engine (1211) enables the camera (121) to automatically adjust the angle of the photographer, so as to acquire the face image of the visitor, and enables the face image to be combined with the visitor information, achieving effective and efficient management of visitors.
