Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a registration method and an electronic device. The electronic device comprises a communication radio frequency link, and the electronic device is connected to an Internet protocol multimedia subsystem. The method comprises: in the process that a preset application downloads data by means of the communication radio frequency link, obtaining a remaining online duration of registration of the electronic device in the Internet protocol multimedia subsystem; under the condition that the remaining online duration is greater than a first preset duration and less than a second preset duration, obtaining a data demand quantity of the preset application, the first preset duration being greater than or equal to the duration required by the electronic device for re-registering the Internet protocol multimedia subsystem; and under the condition that the data demand quantity is less than a preset data demand quantity, executing the re-registration of the Internet protocol multimedia subsystem by means of the communication radio frequency link.
