Abstract:
Provided is a relay device which is capable of wirelessly communicating with a base station device connected to a core network, using a communication path via another device, and which relays communications between the base station device and one or more terminal devices. The relay device: acquires candidate information concerning candidates of communication paths as destinations for switching from a first communication path currently being used, from a base station device operating as a serving base station for the first communication path; acquires terminal information concerning communications performed by one or more terminal devices being connected; determines whether switching of communication paths from the first communication path should be performed; and, in response to a determination that the switching of communication paths from the first communication path should be performed after the candidate information has been acquired, performs, on the basis of the terminal information, switching from the first communication path to a second communication path included in the candidates.
