Abstract:
The present invention provides a relay device with a simpler configuration which, in the event of the occurrence of an abnormality on the first electricity storage unit side, is capable of switching or maintaining the state of a path to a specific load from a second electricity storage unit while reflecting the state of a path to the specific load from a first electricity storage unit. A relay device (1) comprises an abnormality detection unit that detects an abnormality in a path electrically connected to a first electricity storage unit (81), and a control unit (3) that controls a first relay unit (13) and a second relay unit (14). The control unit (3) causes the operation of the second relay unit (14) to be OFF until an abnormality is detected by the abnormality detection unit. If an abnormality is detected by the abnormality detection unit, the control unit (3) causes the second relay unit (14) to operate in a state corresponding to the operation performed by first relay unit (13) before the detection of the abnormality by the abnormality detection unit.
