Abstract:
Reliability processing method and system of Metro Ethernet network which provides multi-service
group network, includes at least two service routers comprising a virtual router
redundancy protocol group. The network connection relation is created separately
between the user facing provider edge router and the service router in the virtual
router redundancy protocol group using the virtual private LAN service; the
main and the backup service routers are determined according to the processing
result of the virtual router redundancy protocol message, and the connection
is created between the service router and the two-layer and three-layer of the
user facing provider edge router, then the two-layer service and three-layer
service of the main service router are processed. The invention may switch all
of the two-layer and three-layer services to the backup service router quickly
when the network is out of work, the switch time interval is less than one second;
it can ensure reliability of the two-layer and three-layer services in Metro
Ethernet network; and it can decrease the cost of the system.
