Abstract:
An aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that exhibits excellent tackiness and that suffers little change even after the lapse of time; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet using the same. Disclosed is an aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition characterized by comprising a synthetic resin emulsion that contains a water-soluble or -dispersible polyester as the protective colloid. It is preferable that the ethylenically unsaturated monomer is a (meth)acrylic acid ester, while it is preferable that the water-soluble or -dispersible polyester has a number-average molecular weight of 3,000 to 30,000. Also disclosed is a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet using the aqueous pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.
