Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for measuring residual stress in a cast or forged steel product using X-rays, wherein the method is provided with a step of irradiating the cast or forged steel product with X-rays, a step of detecting the intensity of diffracted X-rays originating from the X-rays, in two dimensions, and a step of calculating the residual stress on the basis of a diffraction ring formed by the intensity distribution of the diffracted X-rays detected in the detecting step, and wherein, when measuring the residual stress for each of a plurality of measuring positions in the cast or forged steel product, in the calculating step the residual stress at each measuring position is calculated on the basis of the diffraction ring at each measuring position and a different X-ray elastic constant at each measuring position.
