Abstract:
A resin composition for optical fiber coating according to the present invention contains: a base resin that contains a photopolymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator; and hydrophobic inorganic oxide particles. The photopolymerizable compound contains a urethane (meth)acrylate and an aliphatic epoxy (meth)acrylate; and the content of the aliphatic epoxy (meth)acrylate is from 1.0% by mass to 45% by mass (inclusive) based on the total mass of the photopolymerizable compound.
