Abstract:
This resin composition contains: (A) one or more resins selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic resins, and curable resins selected from epoxy resins, (meth)acrylic resins, phenol resins, unsaturated polyester resins, polyurethane resins, or polyimide resins; and (B) modified cellulose fibers that have a cellulose I-type crystal structure and to which one or more substituents selected from substituents represented by general formulae (1) and (2) are linked through an ether bond. -CH2-CH(OH)-R1 (1) -CH2-CH(OH)-CH2-(OA)n-O-R1 (2) (In the formulae, each R1 in general formulae (1) and (2) independently represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 3-30 carbon atoms, n in general formula (2) represents a number of 0-50, and A in general formula (2) represents a linear or branched divalent saturated hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms.) The resin composition according to the present invention is suitable to be used in various industrial applications, such as household goods, household appliance parts, packaging materials for household appliance parts, automotive parts, and resins for three-dimensional moldings.
