Abstract:
In a reverse traveling determination device (10), a road information generation unit (11) generates road information including information on the position of each lane and a normal progress direction in a road on which a host vehicle is traveling, on the basis of surrounding information acquired by a surrounding monitoring sensor (21) of the host vehicle. A traveling state information calculation unit (12) calculates, on the basis of the surrounding information, traveling state information including information on the position and traveling direction of the host vehicle on the road on which the host vehicle is traveling. A reverse traveling determination unit (13) calculates a reverse traveling possibility of the host vehicle on the basis of the road information and the traveling state information, and determines whether or not the host vehicle is traveling in reverse on the basis of the value of the reverse traveling possibility.
