Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a reversible thermochromic composition that has a non-phenolic structure with low load on a human body and the environment and that has both excellent color development sensitivity and decoloring property; a writing instrument that accommodates the reversible thermochromic composition; and a toy that contains the reversible thermochromic composition. This problem is solved by a reversible thermochromic composition containing: a color developer that contains a compound which has a sulfonylurea (-NH-CO-NH-SO2-) moiety represented by formula (1); a leuco dye; and a discoloration temperature adjusting agent. (In formula (1), A is an optionally substituted aryl group, heteroaryl group, alkyl group, or cycloalkyl group, and B is an optionally substituted aryl group, heteroaryl group, or alkyl group.)
