Abstract:
An RFID tag for liquid detection equipped with an RFIC element and an antenna element connected to the RFIC element. The antenna element is configured so as to include a first antenna section one end of which is connected to the RFIC element, and a second antenna section connected to the other end of the first antenna section, and the first antenna section and the second antenna section are connected by means of a connecting portion containing a material that swells or is soluble in a liquid. When a liquid is absorbed by the connecting portion, the connecting portion opens due to the swelling or dissolving of the connecting portion, and the communication distance or signal strength increases in comparison to when the communication distance or signal strength when the connecting portion has not absorbed liquid.
